It's been a few days, but I've made another change. Since I'm interested in geographics of those who actually hit me, I started this geographic counter here. I'll just see how it works. Also comming up in the near future, a poll will appear on this page for what you want added next to the site. While I do want to add everthing, the winning item in the poll will go first.

I've changed things around from a search page, to having the search box at the top of the home page, as you can see above this, and below each and every page of the site. Please, use the search, I'm sort of interested in seeing how many hits I can get on it.

I've been doing some work to allow for future plans of being able to set user preferences on the main part of the site. Still not fully there yet, but things look good. The major update this time is the introduction of search, yes, it is google search, but I thought it would be handy so here it is. Just look for search on the nav bar for it. The first thing I plan to add to user preferences when I get it set up is to set the behavior of the search (open in my site, open in a new window, open in the same window) and set where you want the search to appear. I am currently thinking about these choices, though if you have a place where you'd like it, post on the forum. The search page would be the default, the rest of the coices would be toggle, on/off: Bottom of each page, below nav links each page, top of each page, bottom of forum, top of forum. I will also make this available for those who want it on their site, just pm me on the message board and ask for the code you need.

Yesterday I said near future, I implemented it sooner than I thought. I have now disabled the old system since the new and improved system is up and running. Everyone who was hosting under me has created a forum account, so all of you should be able to access your accounts through the forum setup. After signing in to the forum, you will see a link at he top of the page to the right of site home, this will to you to the control panel. (For those of you thinking about getting an account on here, after joining the forum, this link will set up your account.) I have also added a file manage to allow you to select what files you want to edit by clicking on one in a list. This makes things easier for those who can't remember what they've uploaded. Finally I've improved the counter to allow you to see how the pages are doing from inside your control panel. This improvement allows a much quicker way to anylize your site. Suggestions, feedback, feature requests, even from those of you who currently aren't hosted with me, feel free to leave something on the message board. --Monteux.

It's been much longer than I wished, but I'll give all the updates I have. I apologize for the short outage last weekend, the server was suffering from bad ram, but that issue has been repaired. I have added, per request on the fourum three new games Paper Airplane Game, Penguin Swing, and Ranbow Sphere. You'll find these games on the flash index page. Finaly, those of you who are hosting, or thinking about hosting on here, good news. I am rewriting the interface for joining, uploading and editing and integrating it with the forum. What this means is that in the near future, you will need to login at the forum, and then follow a link to work on your site. I have done this for several reasons, the biggest of which was because the current login method is not efficient and highly annoying. This should be fully in place by Thursday.

Between yesterday and today I have added three new flash games. Pacxon is a Pacman like game with a twist. Space Invaders needs no introduction, and Worms probably needs a new name, as you'll see if you play it. I'll be on the lookout for more.

The most recent addition to Compilation of Monteux is a forum. You can come here to discuss anything you wish relating to computers, HTML, programming, games, web design, feature requests.........*fades out*. Ok, well, I figure if you've found me here, probably any subject that would draw you to the site, is welcome on the forum. Also, I will be hosting phpBB forums for anyone who wants them. Note, I still have a few bugs to work out to make things right, but you will be able to get a forum up usually within a week of request date. In the future I hope to make it instantaneous, but now it is not. I have also found an HTML editor that is good for those not good wiht HTML, you'll find it in tools, and I have added one more flash game, Tanks. The best way to reach me now is by PM in the forum, however, I should still answer to email. --Monteux.

No new games at the moment, but an update for you website builders out there. I now have a counter available for those of you who want a counter accross the bottom of the page. Details are available on the webhosting page. I've also tweaked the ad layout to give you a bit more control of how they look, positionwise.

I've added three more flash games, should have some more on this weekend. The best of the three flash games is Tactics Core. It is a Final Fantasy Tactics style of game that plays well. The other two are Miniputt and Minipool, both of which are mildly amusing. I'll try to have more on here soon, since I've downloaded a lot more flash games. It's just a matter of getting them up on the site. You'll find all three in the flash category of games. I've also updated the free webhost upload/download interface to allow customization of the colors on the ads. I'll put a more thorough update on the webhost page. It will be toward the bottom.

Been some time again, I hope to update more often for a bit. I've added the next chapter to the HTML guide, and cleaned up the previous chapters a bit. I also added some more games. You can find them under Flash Games in the games page.

Ok. I have updated the upload script a bit, and have added a download script, which will remove the ads from your html pages for editing. Since there are no active free accounts yet, I'd advise everyone to take a look at the webhosting page for more info.

Its been a while but college has kept me busy. It is now possible for anybody to host on this site. There are no bandwidth restrictions, currently no size restrictions. There will be 2 adds placed on the site, similar to the page you see here. Email me at P_WES_S *at* yahoo.com. Make sure the subject reads "Monteux Free Host". In the email simply tell me the username you want, and the desired password. Any other things you want let me know there and I will make an attempt if possible to implement it. I should return the email within a couple days, if I don't resend it. I hope to implement a more automated process in the near future.

I've finished the hangman game, it now contains 50 words from each letter, except for X. I've added a page about Firefox This website is best viewed in Firefox. I've also added an icon for my website, it may take a few days for your browser to display it though.

I seem to be updating every other day now. Anyhow new today are two games. The first game is Dots. Those of you familar with it should enjoy, and those who are not, the directions are easy. The other game I put up today is Buttons. Uncheck all the buttons, not as easy as it looks. I've also added a page for games, since my sidebar was starting to get cluttered. I hope you enjoy the new addition. I've alse colorized the ads to match the layout. This is softer on the eyes now. Oh, this is me when I'm home.

I've corrected a couple bugs and mispellings on the website today. Other than the two games I've added, battleships and blackjack, nothing else is new.

I'm starting to think about blogging on here. I just created a page about advertisements, and a bit more. It sounds more like a blog than I expected it would. Anyhow heres the page on ads Oh, and my wonderful girlfriend made me this new layout. Hope you like it.

HTML chapter three is up, and I have also added in the Addition Resources as a place for miscellaneous documents. I will keep adding to it, as the site grows. I am working hard to make this site worthwhile.

I'm setting up a new layout, and will continue the expansion of this site. If anything appears to be broken, come back in a few minutes. I plan to set something up for feedback sometime, once I start getting more traffic, possibly. This page is now optimized for 800X600 and larger screen sizes.

I have just started work on an IP address script. The script will tell you your domain and ip address, along with some other mumbo, jumbo. There is a link to it on the sidebar. I hope to add more functionality to it soon, but as for now, enjoy.
