Firefox is in many ways superior to IE. It is more secure. When a security update is released for Firefox, it is updated the next time you start your browser. Since it is opensource, anybody in the world can find bugs and security issues, and submit them, speeding the udpate process. Firefox is more robust than IE. It takes a lot more to crash Firefox than it does to crash IE. Firefox has tabbed browsing. It is very easy to open pages in new tabs, and read them in a few minutes, or open a tab to read a subarticle, then close it to be right back where you were. While the new IE 7 does support tabs, it stinks. It seems more like that the 'tabs' change windows, as the whole page blinks when you change tabs.
It is true that on a clean install Firefox doesn't have as many features as IE, but you can install them easily. In my oponion, IE has too many features, one of its big security holes. There are features on it you don't use or need that are easy entrances to your computer. Ever wonder where all the spyware, and popups come from?
Now there may be some of you who say, I don't use IE, I use AOL, or MSN, or SBC, or whatever. All of these browsers contain the same security holes as IE. In addition to that, those browsers are clunky and use up a lot of the comptuer resources. You can get almost all of the same functionality out of Firefox, and use the other browsers, if there is a time when something doesn't work.
Best View for this site
This site is best viewed in Firefox. It should be viewable in a 800X600 screen size, but I would recommend a bit larger to give more space to the page. If you need to get Firefox click on the Firefox banner.
